Academic Counselor

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Academic Counselor with 4–5 years of proven experience in student counseling and admissions. The role involves guiding students on academic and career pathways, managing the end-to-end admission process, driving enrollments, and mentoring junior counselors while ensuring high ethical counseling standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on academic programs, certifications, and career outcomes

• Handle high-quality leads and convert them into successful enrollments

• Conduct in-depth profiling of students to recommend suitable courses

• Manage the complete admission lifecycle from inquiry to enrollment

• Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment targets

• Follow up consistently through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and meetings

• Maintain accurate records in CRM and admission management systems

• Coordinate with marketing and academic teams for lead quality and onboarding

• Handle escalations, objections, and complex counseling cases professionally

• Participate in webinars, seminars, career fairs, and admission events

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience as an Academic Counselor / Admission Counselor

• Strong counseling, negotiation, and conversion skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

• Experience working with CRM tools and lead management systems

• Target-driven mindset with ethical counseling practices

• Ability to build trust with students and parents

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

• Prior experience in EdTech, skill development, or higher education institutions

• Knowledge of domestic or international education pathways

• Multilingual communication skills
